Seems like this idea was discussed in a recent thread. Spain bowing before terrorists at the election did not appease the terrorists, as intended, but rather demonstrated that Spain is willing to do what terrorists say to do. The same arguments apply for any dealings with Islamic Fundamentalists. Shall we elect a leader supported by Al Queda in an effort to please terror factions? Perhaps if we give them the West Bank, they'll be happy? Perhaps if we pull out of Iraq we can appease their anger? Perhaps if we ...
Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Truth is not decided here at the Pelican Board.
