Not to mention diminished vision due to age! This is why I just hose down with insect repellent when I go in the woods. If they don't get on ya, ya don't have to remove them. Only times I've come home with a tick on me is when I don't apply insect repellent. I always spray around my ankles and waist. I bring an extra shirt that I spray down with repellent and then put on. I wear a ball cap and spray it to keep them off my noggin. I generally try to not put the bug spray directly on my skin and if I do, I shower as soon as I get home.
