I want nothing to do with our power company (SDG&E). This past year I paid zero for our all electric house and car. Solar panels and energy management - my way of fighting back. The only outside energy source is wood for the fireplace, which I've paid zero for sofar by searching around, cutting, & splitting it. I think i use quite a bit less than half a cord during a winter and have more than a winter's supply left.
