I broke a 13mm 6pt ⅜" drive craftsman socket the other day (I probably should have been using a short socket, but the deep well was easier to grab. My fault). Rather than have to go through a lot of trouble to get a warranty replacement for the Craftsman, I thought about buying a Craftsman off eBay, but then realized that I could get a Tekton from Amazon cheaper when you include shipping costs.
I'll be ordering the Tekton, and it's all Paul's fault because he's been professing the tekton love for a while now.
He's probably got stock in the company.
I'm not likely to buy anything that I want to be top quality from HF. I've seen some reviews that put their top tier stuff way up there with the big boys, and I think Icon is their top tier. But I'm pretty sure in the various reviews that I've seen, the Icon generally comes in a little lacking. They are often also quite a bit cheaper, but there are usually better options for similar prices.
