Porsche 944 Cooling fan operation Problem

Hello,
I have a 1983 Porsche 944 factory optioned with AC.
One of my two radiator cooling fans is failing to activate (driver side). It appears this is more linked to the wiring than the fans, as when I switch the electrical wires from the working fan, the other fan will work and the passenger side will fail to come on. From what I've read and researched, the left fan should come on when the AC is turned on, and when the car is turned off and should operate until the vehicle reaches the appropriate temp (neither of these are happening unless I switch the wires around). The passenger fan seems to be operating normal, coming on when the car reaches the temperature threshold ( I believe 92c?, just off the top of my head).
At the same time I'm noticing strange activity from the antenna, like it failing to raise as it should, and even the a fan coming on when the radio is activated. Not sure if it matters, but I do have an aftermarket radio installed. Not too sure if these are related but I know they share a fuse.
The fuse is also intact and looks good.
At this point, do I need to track down wiring from the fans to the fuse box or is there something else that needs to be looked at first?
I have looked online quite a bit and haven't come across my specific problem.
Thank you for your time.
