Since buying our 5th wheel camper my wife and I along with our dog are doing a lot of camping . Our dog Luke , being a GSD mix sheds hair like a machine ! Our GMC extended cab has cloth seats , the back seat has about an R3 insulation value of dog hair
So been thinking about some sort of seat protector . The hair cleanup is one concern the other being Luke's safety . The " hammock style " seat protectors seem to be an effective way to help protect a dog if you have to slam on the brakes . We have tried a blanket tucked in the best we could but it always gets flipped up defeating the purpose .
Luke is great in the truck , generally after 2 minutes on the road he lays down and just chills . So you guys/gals that have a full size truck and a medium to large dog what works for you ? The reviews on the big A for seat protector hammocks from 20 bucks to 100 bucks seem about the same . Loose fit , easily torn , zippers fail and ventilation screen easily wiped out .
Even brands like Carhart have mixed reviews on quality/durability . Seems like they have gone off shore for seat protectors . And I don't think they make a hammock style I could be wrong . Just curious what if anything you are using .
