A more economical option would be to find a good used dash core and send it out. I did this five years ago (but in vinyl) all in for about the number you mention above, if my memory serves me well. I used Auto Innovations in LA, there is also Just Dashes, and a place in Dearborn, MI whose name I can't recall.
