Interesting. The valve covers look like SBC (2 bolts on the side closest to the exhaust ports and the "Chevrolet" script). But the exhaust port locations are not consistent with SBC. I think that's a '60s, truck, so not a 348 (besides, the size and shape are WAY off for that).
I think it's got to be a BBC, but I think the valve covers normally have more hold down bolts. I do think that there were some "truck only" big blocks. Maybe they had different heads since they were not built for horse power like the car motors.
