my fish finder is heavy. on a cantilevered arm, it jiggled quite a bit. been like this for years. a rod holder holding a rod, dangling a big weight deep into the ocean felt like it would snap off, or tweak or crack the plastic.
they sell one, but for $40, I felt I could do...not better. not even close to better, but along the same spirit (lets just say). I had free plastic tossed by a contractor on one of my retaining wall jobs. add $6 worth of stainless hardware and I was "cooking with gas".
I bridged the two accessory tracks and now it is rock solid!! and anyone that can cut a straight line with a coping saw..hats off!! I am humbled. me: "whoa!! where do you think your going?"
I am surrounded by neighbors with wood working shops...my therapist says I have issues asking for help
