The heating pad is on the top and a minute after it's lit you can't get your hand near the grilling portion. A steak takes only a few minutes...it's super fast.
No flare ups because the drippings don't drop on the heat.

Is this the same as the Caveman as to function? 1500F is toasty. I can't see reference to propane. Has to be. Yes, I see propane in the link description.
