I'm cleaning my door locks on my '87, and the degradable parts have ... degraded.
I've investigated many links and substitute parts posted. The VW part, even though it's N/A, still seems to be get-able. The Stoddard part (from our host) is only listed for 65-69, but also doesn't look correct. I have found few actual reported results.

1. Are there better verified replacement gasket/seal/o-rings out there? Specifically for G-body (if different than early models).
2. Is there another o-ring toward the inner sleeve? Or is that just hardened gunk?
