The V-6 4-speed version of those Capris was the all-time burn out champion of Newton Hill, the park where I hung out with other miscreants in the early '70s. Someone's mom had one and we did an exhaustive scientific survey of every vehicle we could get our filthy hands on.
One guy broke the differential of his mom's '64 Buick Wildcat doing a brake stand burnout for the umpteenth time in front of the audience of us. To this day, I wonder what he told her when the car was towed to a shop. "I was driving and it just broke!"
Yeah sure, moron.
