I used to keep a notebook in my pocket when I was around my ex MIL who was born in TN circa 1920. She'd rattle those kind of sayings all the time.

I've got a bunch of them somewhere written down in the late 60's. The ex's parents were Georgia from Tennessee and Jimmy from Georgia. The both grew up near the state line. Could not have had better in laws, too bad about their daughter turned out to be a POS.
