David, there are ALWAYS exceptions. Your blogging about your experiences is very uncommon. You have shown us a side of police work that is not prevalent. You are one of a kind. There certainly are many others out of the total police population that deserve recognition for the work they do and how they do it.

You are the exception. My direct and indirect experiences tell a different story. I go on what I see and feel. I stand on my statement as a generalization. I didn't always feel this way. My feelings earned their way into my life as have many others, some good and bad.

Thank you for bringing it up because I thought of you when I made the statement. Now it is complete.

(begin edit) Hate is a careless word. All words of that ilk are not very good words. If I had thought about it I should have used the word "dislike." It's the same thing but carries a different connotation. Let me say that if I encounter police it's their move to show me respect before I do anything or say anything. However, in the few times I have encountered the police they have always been abrupt and determined to bring about an outcome.
