I got completely taken apart on the side of the Interstate in Louisiana. Same thing, slightly lowered and debadged. White truck with a roll out bed tool box. They had all my tools on the ground.
My choice was to do that there, or do that back at the station after being towed. They had me on a minor equipment violation. So, fully cooperative, and they saw that I was in fact a construction worker traveling to work in another state. I'm sure the CA plates didn't help. Pulled over by 2 cruisers simultaneously. They weren't taking any chances.
They basically said. "Y'all
don't come back now." I pulled off the road at the next town and corrected the violation. They were kind enough to give me a day pass to get out but I removed dark lenses over my lights. This was in the early 90's. Never been back to LA and never going.
When coming home I went up through CO. Fk Loseranna.
