Shaun and Baz, I will have to grab some of the pictures, it was pretty great riding weather. The grey Road Glide is mine Choc.
The temps started out in the low 50's each morning and only got up to 70 one day. That made having all the gear on very comfortable. We were with only two other riders, and they are a bit older so we did hotels. I was totally fine with it. Since it was a holiday weekend we stayed in smaller towns were the rates were pretty reasonable. Jackson was going to be very expensive, so we did not stay there.
We started Saturday morning in Rawlins, and then rode through Lander to Dubois where we had lunch. Then to Jackson and from there to Pinedale. The Jackson > Pinedale road was gorgeous, a beautiful canyon. I am planning on going to Jackson next summer to explore around it, and I will be doing that ride again.
From Pinedale the next morning we went south to the Flaming Gorge and then through Vernal UT and ended up in Craig, which is about 40 miles from Steamboat Springs.
It made for a very relaxing Monday ride back through Laramie and home.
Mine is a 2018 RG and as mentioned, pretty dang comfortable to put miles on. This was a fun one because there were a lot of twisty roads to go with the long stretches of straight Wyoming roads.
For those that followed the other thread, the combination of Ohlins rear shocks and Legend front ones really shined on this trip. I am very happy with those purchases.
