Mine has been working perfectly over the past 6-8 months. I did have some issue at first and removed to make sure the float was moving up and down. If memory serves I know I may have over tightened a bit and I reinstalled making sure the gasket was flat/level.
I installed without tightening just to see if I was getting any reading (moving the sender so I could hear the float) and sure enough I was. I think over tightening one side may have caused just enough angle where the float wouldn't...well, float.
Novice engine builder here but it seemed to work for me
Worth a try. Otherwise, get the OEM as others will tell you. I tried the Dansk and replaced with the URO...so far so good.
