I spoke to Marty about this, and the intercooler outlet's angle is like that found on a 3.0L -- approx. 20deg from horizontal, instead of the typical ~35deg of a 3.3L 930 and 964T.
No explanation why.
The last two real 930-S cars we worked on (1x very early, 1x 1986-) both had ~35deg angle throttle bodies and intercoolers.

If you install a flatter angle manifold (3.0T), you will next find that the throttle body pull rod is the wrong length, and its lever the wrong angle.
The 3.0T manifold is also missing the large port for the AAR, and most accessory ports and mounts are in different locations than on the 3.3L.
