Easiest solution(s):

Remove the throttle body, and "install" the intercooler in place. See if the hot charge pipe between the turbo and IC lines up correctly.

If yes: cut off the intercooler's throttle body ring, reinstall the throttle body with the ring on top, and weld the ring at the correct angle/position

If no: install a different intercooler
