If those cars were in my garage, I'd sell the 993 (I prefer the 911, and I suspect it's harder to replace) and the BMW and pick up a cheap boxster, cayman or macan. A replaceable driver that I wouldn't worry about parking in a public lot.

I've thought of that very idea, on old 996 or 997 but they're getting pretty old now and they have their own problems.
To those that say that's what insurance is for - I do drive them and they're insured under agreed value (the 911s). The hard part is searching out a replacement, the market has changed dramatically in the last 20-30 years.
