Your Speedster is on a different level than standard issue Carrera's, etc., so that I understand. Anything 74 to 89 is driveable nearly anywhere/anytime (with intelligence) with the right insurance. Earlier cars can be too. I never gave a thought to not driving my 73 bomber, which is a special order car, around. But if my 69 after restoration, which would be close to your Speedster, that will be a carefully driven car. But still used.
