I agree with all of this except the "tractor" comment. With some judicious suspension work, a g body is a razor. Unlike anything you can get today, except miata's, s2000's and the odd lotus. But they are very much overvalued. At the end of the day they are amazing cars at 30k, at 50-60 they're just a trinket.
I've not had long term 993 experience, but believe its got the 911 attributes with enough modernity to make it less of a toy and more of a "car" without being too far off the mark, so yeah, despite its value it would stay.
