I have bought Guards Red on more than one occassion. The color seems to be consistant, but there are some years it was called Indian Red according to the auto paint store.
The 356 I had for 6 mos. was painted a Ferrari red. It did make the Guards Red look more orange. By itself, it's pretty damn red. It will fade, that I have personal knowledge of.
