My dad bought one! He just had to get that 460 ci motor (last year it was offered) for autocrosses, etc.!
It was his first non-Mercury purchase too! Pa-Paw drove Fords exclusively (as did G-grandfather)....
I knew dad was losing it when he bought my CJ5 from me in college .... and then my niece's first gen Prius decades later confirmed it
