arbezc is correct. I do not think that the door skins are meant to be welded. They are to be crimped with the appropriate press. This is not for the DIY hobbyist. MIG or any kind of welding would warp the skin. In my case, I am more inclined to straighten the door panel as it has been 'banged up' by the previous 'body man' and levelled with 1/4 to 3/8 inches of Bondo. Pulling it out using pressure from inside and heat-shrinking has gotten most of it out. I may use lead to level it further, and glazing putty to do the final. Replacing the entire door shell would be the economical way to deal with it at a body shop.
