I recall the OG wok threads and buying an inexpensive carbon steel wok at Walmart or something. Still have it and it works great. Made no special effort to season or use a particular oil with it. I've since learned to cook with stainless pans so a carbon steel wok is simple to use.
IMO the trick with woks is they should be thin in order to facilitate quick temp changes as used in wok cooking. Best tip I have is buy a cheap carbon steel wok and learn to cook in small batches.

Well i had #6 adjusted perfectly but then just before i tightened it a butterfly in Zimbabwe farted and now i have to start all over again!
I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.
