We used a mapping program for years that when an image with no world file or placement data, it would put it at that location. Not very helpful. They finally received some input that no one is photographing the ocean off of Africa. So it would asked what coordinates you wanted to start with. Much better.


In February 1971, Apollo 14 astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell collected a remarkable lunar treasure at the Fra Mauro highlands: Big Bertha. This nearly 9 kg (19.8 lb) moon rock is a breccia—a natural collage of shattered fragments welded together by ancient meteor impacts. Some of its minerals, like quartz and granite, are more typical of Earth than the Moon, sparking debates about how our worlds formed and exchanged material billions of years ago.
