Hey 1rad55,
Just went through this on my ’87.
1. Lip goes under the locking mech molding.
2. 90° brace bolts to the housing and ties into the chassis rail, supports the rad from the rear.
3. Radiator sits about 30–35° back with the dual fans.
4. For airflow, most cut a rectangular opening in the lower center panel, just wide enough for the core, and add mesh.
