Getting back to your photos, the dimple on 1st gear is normal.

Your synchros are heavily worn and should be replaced, along with their mating shift sleeves. Your dog teeth do not look horrible, although I see some wear to some of their tips. Be sure to measure the installed diameter of your new synchros to confirm that the dog rings are not excessively worn -- this is the other important thing to check on them. I recommend (and use) a C-clamp type micrometer at 90 degrees out from the gap in the synchro, rather than a sliding bar type mic. Good luck with the project!
