OBX .... seeing that makes me cringe ... many trips (ferrys back then) to those remote islands ... there was ZERO access from the north....
One could walk for miles along the beaches and see 6 people fishing ....
My last visit was in '97 ... it broke my heart to see what was and HAD happened... then. Knew I'd never return too.... truly "Paradise Lost" ... but not in my memories....
