Summer was good to me, and did indeed involve some new carbon fibre!!! I spent a good share of our short season riding, training, and racing in the Local Cross Country series. I was pleased to, if nothing else, manage to improve my finishing place from dead last to actually beating a number of people and even reaching the level most would consider mediocre, instead of totally pathetic! LOL.
All in good fun, of course. This bike is incredible. Stock, it's 25.26 pounds without pedals, the carbon frame alone, WITH rear shock, is 1910 grams. Of course I have some lightweight parts to put on it, including a cassette that has aluminum and titanium gears that will save 100 grams :P
More on the car stuff later. Just as I was getting back into the swing of it, my vacuum pump stopped vacuuming! Not before I was able to make a few parts, luckily:
