I appreciate all who have replied you included pmax, this thread is about Porsche parts. Specifically the import tariffs on said parts, as I am looking to order 2 ac units approximately $14,000 USD, I wanted more info on what to expect and any other problems that may be associated with the new administrations rules and regulations at the moment. It seems like there is a lot to possibly be aware of at the least and the way the responses are coming in, quite alarmed at what may possibly happen, ie damaging and or losing system parts, extensive after purchase fees, tariffs etc.
Someone in our government repeatedly states, "We do not pay the tariffs, the exporting country pays the tariffs" well as you can see in this thread that is NOT TRUE.
I wanted to see what I may be in store for, and if it is a 25% tariff as confirmed in one of the above posts from the vendor it looks like I will be paying at least $3,500 for tariffs alone. Also I may be liable for even more $$$, possible delays, damages etc. This is upsetting as I have bought an alternator from him last year and had absolutely no problem or incidents, pay the price listed on the website plus shipping fees and done. I was one of the first to order a complete AC system when he first started out and have gotten at least 3 people to order there ac systems in the past, same experience, order the parts online pay the price plus shipping receive the product, quickly I might add.
So back to the original questions I wanted to know what to expect now in ordering this, as I already knew what to expect prior to this administration.
