Those EZ boy chairs in that Pinto are a hoot.
I had a Vega wagon as a quasi first car. Lost it to my father when the parentals split up. He got that while my mother got the 'better' cars.
That Pinto went for way more than it seems to be worth, going to your point about billionaires and cars. Once those guys get into a certain marque, the prices for mere mortals becomes unattainable.
Early classic Range Rovers are now going for $40k or more. Crazy money. My P38 Range Rover is the next up in line. Right now they are around $10k but I paid less than a third 5 years ago. Love driving it and hope to keep a long time. No way would I give $20k or more for one in the future unless it was owned by George Michael which went for 35k GBP:
