I think this is the thing that most enables less talented folks like me to get better. Full manual now just means aperture and shutter speed. That is pretty easy to manage. I have my auto iso set to 160 min ss and 25,600 or whatever it is max iso. The only goof so far is today I had a 400mm on and was doing aperture priority and thus forgot to check SS. It put me at 160 and I missed a couple lovely shots of small deer in the pines. Got the shot but it wasn't pin sharp. I guess in body stabilization has limits at 400mm. Lesson learned I'll now remember to set the big glass at faster SS.

Totally amazing really.

Was in a Best Buy today while waiting for dinner and handled a Nikon Z5II. Felt really nice and the menus looked the same as my Z8. I saw the Z5ii in a Nikon refurbished sale just a few weeks back for around $1350. Hell of a lot of camera for that kinda dough. I think new it's on sale for maybe $1700 now. That plus the unreal Z 24-120 F4 lens which is sub $1k on sale would be an incredible and versatile combo.

I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.
