We have a little theater in the lower level of our house. And, years back, I bought an Oppo BDP-93 for Blu Ray playback. While we stream lots, our local library has a huge inventory of blu ray disks. The Oppo wasn't working for the last two or three years. I was planing on getting a service because it is cheap and easy ($99!). But then I thought, why don't I just buy a new one? Which led me to: "why don't I try to fix it?"
A few screws. An hour of head scratching, and a little rubbing alcohol and my Oppo seems good as new.
I love little wins like this.
