I did a composite log and sent it to Al and he said it looked good and I don’t know much, but the lines were all even and perfect.

So where does that leave things? All my testing isn’t uncovering anything and I can’t think of anything else to test, so that means that I would just have to toss money at it and hope I get the right part early on. Because the problem is somewhat intermittent, it could be the ECU, coil or something else fuel related, but it sure seems ignition not fuel as it smells rich. Remember, AFRs read O2 in the exhaust and not fuel, so if the fuel doesn’t ignite, you will see a lean condition on the gauge because of the unused air.

My plan now is to go with a more advanced ECU that can do COPs. That will get rid of the EDIS, which is mid ‘90 technology and hard to source parts as well.

I’m open to suggestions on ECU, the Maxxecu looks to have what I need for about $1,000 and a member here is a dealer. I’m open to other ideas, but something like MOTEC is more than I need or my wallet can handle.
