All my bass fishin' (jigging) was off the front of my bass boat, with one foot on the trolling pedal... or at one of my ponds... using lightweght spinners and baitcasting ...
For bank "jigging" into bushes, etc., I wanted a pistol grip baitcaster and stiff 5.5' rod and heavy (for me ... 10-12#) line
