Been slow pitch jigging for a couple of years now. And have also talked with the guys at Johnny jigs and purchased three rod and reel setups from them. Plus numerous jigs and assorted tackle.

My buddies were a little skeptical a first. We fish pretty far offshore and haul in some big fish. They took a look at the rods and said no way. Till I started catching fish. I’ve even pulled in a good sized shark, but you still have limits to what you can do. You use the reel to winch the fish in, not the rod. And if a big fish starts running under the boat you can snap the rod.
