I generally have 4 or 5 set up and ready to go. That way I can just grab another rod if I want to try a different jig, or if I get bit off or broke off I can get another jig in the water quickly. Sometimes the bite doesn’t last a long time and I don’t want to be trying to re rig on a rocking boat.

Hey DC. does the line come over the rod tip often? I went with a spiral wrap to mitigate but it probably does not solve all the problems.
