I’m on the gulf side, so we have long runs to get to very deep water. We are generally 100’ to 150’. We have to run 30 miles from the pass just to get to 100’, 150 is another 10-15 miles.
I have a friend that started using an electric reel, but I’m not that old yet.
We have plans to make some 100 mile runs, but the weather has not been cooperating. We made it 80 miles out one time, but the waves were higher than forecast and we had to run slower than I like.
