Or Long Island Sound....I fish sometimes at "The Race", its basically where the Long Island Sound empties into the Atlantic and vice versa.. it goes from 300 or so feet to shoals in a few hundred yards or less in places...
And jigging is and had been the method of choice there forever....I'm still trying to figure out the new trick.. is it just a new type of terminal tackle?

Night fishing there is a special kind of scary if you're drifting....
We also use some crazy things to keep the bait or rigs near the bottom
14oz sinkers.. I have some 16's somewhere..
