Dave, I would just wash it out with a can of B-12. It should rattle when you shake it and you should be able to blow through it one way but not so much the other. Of course make sure all your vacuum lines are sound and properly routed and check "D" and "E" with a vacuum pump to make sure they work like they are supposed to. Unless you take your car up to the ski slopes the system won't see much use anyways.
