The salamander didn't move other than to posture and breathe, they are very slow even at full tilt. Cold and wet environments slow most things down except moss and algae growth :-)













Fire lookout on Mt. Pilchuck this year, that was the first one I'd ever been to right at 50 years ago- Good lord time does go fast!
Thanks to many caring individuals it's in much better shape than the first time I summited, back then there was no glass and it was very aged by the elements... now I'm aged by the elements and have to wear reading glasses.
