Speaking of traveling and plumbing, when I have a checked bag, I put a few small tools in there because invariably the maintenance at the hotel room/Airbnb is lacking and I'll need to fix something. In Italy last year, I almost replaced the shower head but couldn't find a hardware store open and I was only there one night. It was so bad I dreaded the second shower I took.
