I was watching the latest 'Harry's Garage' where he is reviewing cars for an upcoming auction. He made comments on a beautiful Jag E Type coupe and I couldn't help thinking how old it looked and wondered about its future desirability. One of the commenters mentioned that E Type prices have been dropping which I don't find surprising (if true).
Will that happen to air cooled 911s? At the moment it doesn't seem so - time will tell. The 911 has a lineage, a connection, all the way up to today which the E Type does not have.
