I thought the only good acting in the entire movie was Elordi as the monster. Everyone else was either overacting (Isaac) or wasted (Waltz) or confused (Goth).
But the real issue is the characters had no connection to each other, they just all shambled through the storyline. If it had even a tiny amount of magic and connection like the relationship between Elisa and the monster in Shape of Water or Ofelia and the faun in Pan's Labrinth, it woujld have been absolutely brilliant.
Elordi mastered Frankenstein but he no partner to dance with. Not one.
