The more information Ben provides, the better the diagnosis will be.
A good approach would be to get the engine running properly first. To me, it sounds like it’s idling at a very low RPM, sputtering, and running lean — or maybe the ignition isn’t working correctly.
Once the engine is running smoothly, I’m sure it will sound much more natural.
