Much harder than you think - I was trying for one at 50 yards and their heads never really stay still long enough. But I was using a 2moa dot, not a magnified scope.
Body shots can be iffy too - unless you go for massive overkill and waste meat. I've seen a tom take a solid body hit from a 180gr JHP moving at 1600fps and run off.
My 20ga make 'em face plant out to 40 yards and we usually end up with birds with a few yards of us waiting on the big guys to come in, my two Spring birds I shot at 10 yards and 34 yards. The close one was mixed in with hens (not legal) and he came within 5 feet of me before separating enough from the hens for me to not worry about an accidental double.
