By "marketing" I'm talking about the whole deal from things like the Penske development program to individual family money and sponsorships to make it up to the show. Very rare a driver gets there on talent alone.

Shane Van Gisbergen is the Kiwi currently thoroughly dominating NASCAR road racing. He won pole and the race at the first NASCAR race at Chicago, his first race in the class. He's getting better on ovals now too.
