Taking this discussion to its logical conclusion means:
You put something up for sale because you want it gone in exchange for $X.
Buyer wants the thing and will pay $X.
Either the parties negotiate and eventually agree or you put the stuff on the curb ‘FREE’.
Anything else is static on the wavelengths of your lives.
I have recently resorted initially to the ‘Free’-by-the-curb and fhagetaboutit plan. Worse thing is they usually take the ‘Free’ sign, too. Lesson learned.
